Getting started
What is SearchOps?
A quick tour of what SearchOps does and how the main tools fit together.
On this page
SearchOps is a local SEO platform. It shows you where a business ranks in Google's local results, helps you fix what is holding it back, and proves the progress over time. Whether you run one location or a few hundred, everything lives in one dashboard.
This guide is a quick orientation. Each tool below links to a deeper how-to.
The core idea
Local ranking is not a single number. Where you appear in Google Maps changes from street to street, so SearchOps measures it as a map, tracks it over time, and ties it back to the things you can actually change: your Google Business Profile, your reviews, and the keywords you target.
The main tools
- Geo-grid scans check your Maps ranking from a grid of points across your area, so you see exactly where you are strong and where you fade out. Start with Run your first geo-grid scan.
- Rank tracking follows your position for chosen keywords over time, across Google's organic results, the local pack, and AI surfaces. See Build your keyword library.
- Google Business Profile tools connect your listing so you can audit it, monitor and reply to reviews, and post updates. See Connect your Google Business Profile.
- Reports turn all of this into a clean summary for a client or your team. See Build client-ready reports.
- API and MCP let you pull your data into your own tools, or connect an agent. See Getting started with the API.
A typical first week
- Add the business as a location so scans can recognize it. See Add your first location.
- Connect its Google Business Profile.
- Run a geo-grid scan for a keyword that matters to you.
- Add a handful of keywords to track week to week.
- Run a profile audit and work through the fixes.
Tip: You do not have to do everything at once. Adding a location and running one scan is enough to see real data on day one.
Plans and trials
SearchOps runs on a 14-day trial of whichever plan you choose, then continues on that plan unless you cancel. Higher plans raise your limits: more scan credits, more tracked keywords, more connected profiles, and access to scheduling, reports, and the API. See the pricing page for current allowances, and How the free trial works for the trial details.
