Google Business Profile

Connect your Google Business Profile

Link your Google Business Profile so SearchOps can audit it, pull reviews, and post on your behalf.

Last reviewed June 20262 min read

Connecting your Google Business Profile unlocks the tools that work directly with your listing: profile audits, review monitoring and replies, and posting updates. You connect once with Google, and SearchOps keeps the data in sync.

What you'll need

  • A Google account with owner or manager access to the listing.
  • A paid plan. Profile connections are included from Starter upward.

Connect a profile

  1. Go to Google Business Profile in the dashboard.
  2. Select Connect Google Business Profile.
  3. Sign in with the Google account that manages the listing and approve the access SearchOps requests.
  4. You are returned to SearchOps, which discovers every profile and location that account manages.
  5. Choose which to bring in. Each can be linked to an existing SearchOps location, or create a new one.

Important: You must sign in with an account that has owner or manager rights on the listing. If you only have view access, ask the owner to grant you a management role, or to connect it themselves.

Profiles and locations

It helps to know the difference:

  • A profile is the Google listing you connect through your Google account.
  • A location is the SearchOps record you scan and track.

Each profile links to one location, so your audits, reviews, and rankings all line up under the same business.

Limits and plans

How many profiles you can connect depends on your plan. See How many profiles can I connect?.

Troubleshooting

  • A listing is missing after connecting: confirm your Google account actually manages it, and that it is verified on Google.
  • The connect window failed: make sure pop-ups are allowed, then try again. You can disconnect and reconnect at any time without losing your other SearchOps data.

Note: SearchOps requests Google's business management permission so it can read your profile, pull reviews, and post on your behalf when you ask it to.
